I've been teaching myself Icelandic for about a year and a half. I've completed Teach Yourself's book on Icelandic; all vocab in Drops app for Icelandic; Icelandic Online 1 from University of Iceland's website (I started Icelandic Online 2, but it seemed a little too advanced); and am waiting on the shipment of a grammar textbook.
I'm pretty sure I'm still considered Beginner and don't feel confident enough to speak Iceland aloud to someone, but would welcome a pen-pal :)

An ordinary immigrant who dreams of learning English to perfection. Immigrated to Canada hoping to change my citizenship and my future. I am fluent in Ukrainian and Russian. I can explain myself in Polish quite tolerably, though I can neither read nor write in this language. English has a good vocabulary and concepts of proper sentence structure. If I can still master writing and reading, then for speaking and listening I sorely lack practice. Since I am a sociable person and easily make acquaintances, I would be glad to find a person whose native language is English. Since I am now in Canada, it would be great to meet a Canadian or an American. About me: I like to travel, I go in for sports, I love repair and construction, I like welding and sewing, I enjoy outdoor recreation or visiting the countryside.
